Supply Orders

Every year it is one of my least favorite back to school activities, supply ordering.  However, I usually force myself to do it with my coworker Shantelle the last day of school.  We sort through catalogs and see what we need and what we may like to decorate our classrooms.  This year however we were all at a loss at the end of the year.  What do we order?  When do we order?  Although our plans are not set in stone at all; we decided it was time to put an order in.  We figured that if we don't put one in soon we won't get things in time.

So, Shantelle and I decided to make it a day.  She picked up sandwiches and treats and came to my place for an ordering/pool day.  We social distanced on my couch and went to work.  Instead of flipping through catalogs we flipped thought the online School Specialty catalog.  We focused on ordering things we will need in person.  Although we may be remote this year; we know at some point we will be back in the classroom and we will need these supplies!  We also ordered things for each student that we used to have children share, such as watercolor paint.

I have to say that it was still not my favorite back to school activity, but it was way more fun to do it at my house.  Plus, we got to visit and talk about what this year may look like.  The real bonus was we got to hop in the pool after all our hard work.
